Any lad with a bit of cop would realise he was picking up a few soft medals on the back of actually talented players. Realise that he was a donkey for training and was never realistically going to get a starting place or even a Kevin Mc role. Realise that he had his currency and why bother picking up a few more. A bit of self awareness was needed. But you couldn’t blame Gavin, no point having an ass and braying yourself.
So why did gavin bring him on in tight all ireland finals?
