An omen for Mayo?
When the 32 year drought for Connacht ended in 1998, the date coincided with the German Federal Election that ended Herr Kohl’s 16-year reign and brought Gerhard Schroeder to power. Can the sight of Germans going to the polls today similarly inspire a Connacht county to finally end a long drought this Sunday?

[B]Dublin GAA has condemned a derogatory comment which was made about Jason Sherlock on Twitter last night.
The tweet from @eoghan_odwyer of @clgNaFianna read: “Sherlock you NaFianna reject… Back to Asia with you,you dont belong here”.
This morning, the DubMatchTracker twitter account responded: “Very disappointed to see @eoghan_odwyer of @clgNaFianna racially abusing @boomjayo. No place for it in the #Gaa RT”.
Meanwhile, Jason Sherlock, who appeared on RTE’s Up For the Match programme last night, has also taken to Twitter to say the following: “I would love to meet this guy,if u know him dm meRT[/B]”.

I was also offered tickets yesterday. Sadly it clashed with the Rome derby so I had to turn them down - I would only have been in attendance to see the fantastic Tyrone minors in any case.
Both the Mayo seniors and minors have lost 6 All Ireland finals in a row, or so I’ve heard.
