A pity…I enjoyed this show on Saturday mornings.
Dunphy ending his RT Radio 1 show
Eamon Dunphy has announced that he has decided not to continue presenting his RT Radio 1 show ‘Conversations with Eamon Dunphy’.
The broadcaster plans to focus on his work with RT Sport on television, radio and online and new personal projects, including a forthcoming book.
He said of his decision: "I have hugely enjoyed the two years on ‘Conversations with…’.
"In those two seasons we increased our audience by over 20,000, going from 240,000 to 263,000 listeners.
"And in those two short years I have had some remarkable meetings with some remarkable people, from Liam Cunningham, Des Bishop, Neil Jordan, Mary Coughlin, John Montague, Sonia O’Sullivan and Eddie Hobbs to Phil Coulter, Martin McGuinness, Dr John Crown, Chuck Feeney and Michael Colgan.
"I’m glad that the show is concluding on such a high and I would like to thank my colleagues in RT Radio, particularly my producer Sarah Binchy.
“Rest assured, I will continue to be a voice on RT Radio and of course on RT Television.”
