Yep, if it was just the pill then there’d be more than one death. Sure they don’t even have the tox screen or post mortem results so they’re jumping the gun a bit.

Not according to some doctor on newstalk this morning. Some people don’t produce the enzymes needed to break stuff down or something.

There was obviously alcohol in use also. Who knows what was actually taken.

Which is why they’re not warning about bad pills. They’re suggesting it was her susceptibility rather than a problem with the drugs.

How the fuck could he come to that conclusion without having any of the salient fact: how much, if any MDMA in the pill, any other drugs taken, underlying medical conditions, possibility of under or over hydration etc etc etc

That’s working on 2 large presumptions ; 1. She was susceptible and had no prior history of taking drugs and 2. There was a lagrge enough quantity of MDMA in the pill to trigger the susceptibility

He didn’t conclude it was what caused her death. He merely said “some people…” -again, read.

Although I wouldn’t advise it, you can take a pill made with PMMA and be ok, although it won’t do good things to your insides. And, crucially, you just won’t feel like you’re on pills for AGES. So people double-dose. It’s when you take more than 1 that the problems start as it’s rotten shit that can cause death. If you’re pissed when taking it it makes it even more dangerous.

If there had been adequate information available, she should’ve known that if she wasn’t getting a buzz off the first pill, she shouldn’t neck the second one.
She’s a friend of a friend and wouldn’t be a known ecstacy user.

The Examiner report she took 3 pills. That’s a fair go for someone with little tolerance, never mind if they had PMMA in them.

Scary I’d say if you went to ten house parties there would be at least 90 percent people taking them. So cheap is the problem too.
