EFL Championship 2018/19

John McAgain.

What a player.

Aston Villa are ripping it up under Dean Smith.

A proper football club.

We;re heading back up.

Scenes at Deepdale. A 94th minute winner from Eire’s Sean Maguire as Preston North End beat Birmingham 1-0.

Lovely echoes of the 2001 play-off semi-final there.

Four points between fifth and eleventh.

The most exciting league in the world.

And another win for Jose Gomes and his Reading charges today. He’s doing a fantastic job in overturning the mess that he inherited from the hapless Paul Clement.

Where is Paul now?

Inside Cicero’s head. Bigly so.

Waiting for another mug chairman or director of football to take a punt on him.

You would want your head examined not to have shares in him

Villa left it late, even later than Liverpool did last night, but two injury time goals gave them a 3-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

Their scintillating form under Dean Smith continues.

All change in the automatic promotion race however as Leeds shit the course again and the Blades retake second spot.

Jose Gomes and his Reading charges crashed to a 3-1 defeat at Hull City. They’re one point and one place off Rotherham in the last relegation place now with Paul Warne’s Millers beating Martin O’Neill’s Nottingham Forest. Just looking at the fixture list there, Reading in their remaining five matches still have to travel to top of the table Norwich, 6th place Bristol City and 8th place Middlesbrough. One of their two home matches is against 4th place West Bromwich Albion.

That makes bad Reading for fans of the Royals and Coach Gomes.

This EFL show on Quest is a decent effort.

Timo Puuki will be a great addition to the Premier League.

Celtic flop to epl superstar

Cringe for @Piles_Hussain
