Embarrassing Irish Sporting Capitulations

Today wasn’t an embarrassment, sure Japan, apparently now anyway after this morning, are a very dangerous, exciting, attacking team. They’re a deadly team, actually. They could win it out.

There was a lot of chat about this one being a potential shock. Didnt work out like it

Yeah, 2 replies in 3 hours… They are scrambling alright…

Do we now need the Scotch to beat JP to avoid the Kiwis?

Euros 2012. Maybe not a capitulation per se, but embarrassing nonetheless.

Oh jesus :joy::joy: Never thought it would be a limerick win, but I thought it would be at least a bit tighter. TBF that’s a savage Cork side. Yer a football county as of now really

Kerry Dublin 2011 also a big one.

We were up against 3 of the best few teams in the tournament in fairness

Best thi g ever happened to Limerick that game

It wasn’t actually. I was resigned to my fate after 10 minutes.

In retrospect it was the best thing to happen, another bullshit moral victory would have seen us continue on the road we were on.

There were pretty huge changes made from that point on, (the set up of the Academy separately from the Co Board, the bloodletting of the 2010 ‘strike’ and the line in the sand that drew and the first involvement of John Kiely in coaching/mentoring being the 3 major ones directly as a result of 09)

Its classic Limerick. This thread is actually one massive capitulation by the Limerick lads. Claiming a monster trimming by their biggest enemy was the best thing to ever happen them :joy:
