You can see by the reaction of Maguire’s family and his own statement before the squad is officially announced there is problem with his ego. Not officer class. Tuchel is his own man

I think reece james is damn lucky to be going and would have brought TAA myself. Sad to see that the likes of Foden and palmer wont go.
By far the biggest injustice is Mason Mount not going though. We should launch a public campaign

Elliott Anderson
Adam Wharton
James Garner
Jed Spence
Lewis Hall
Reece James is closest thing to an English world class defender imo. He’d start for 99% of the teams at the wc
Each team at the World Cup makes up 2.083% of the entire field.
Gibbs-White, a very wholehearted player, is unluckier than the likes of Foden and Palmer, both of whom can be flaky enough.

Reece James is undoubtedly very good but Is fairly injury prone and struggles to put a run of games together. The intensity of a world cup campaign might not be the best place to test that. We’ll see. My guess is he wont see it out.
