EPL 2009/2010 official thread

Standard of EPL has dropped a good bit this year. Has been on the wane since the new tax laws were brought in in Britain.

Serie A is muck. Champions League this year, Barca aside has been poor imo.

LOI is pub league.

blahblah blah- all europan football is muck but the hyundai a league is brilliant  you live in england your villa till you die- 3 weeks in bondi junction & european football is shit & you are Central Coast Mariners till you die

Football here is shocking.

I know seire A is bad at the moment but its not that far behind EPL in fairness.

Is there a lunchtime kick off today for our televisual entertainment?

The Spurs of Tottingham are playing the United of Outer Manchester.

Utd to win 3-1

Dwight Yorke’s suit is epic here on Sky Sports. Tight enough game from what I’ve seen - missed the first twenty minutes. United upped the tempo around the half hour mark and had a five minute flurry where they had 2 or 3 attempts but there was nothing really clear cut. The tempo is pretty slow overall, like it was last week in the Manchester derby. Spurs will be happy enough going in level but I really think teams should have a go at United, like Bayern Munich did. Without Rooney and Ferdinand, that side is no better than Spurs’ eleven.

Glenn Hoddle is a shit analyst.

Oh Benoit…

Really rash tackle. They were happy to sit off and got their punishment.

Shite defending there from the filth. That Rafael is some liability.

Ooooooooh…

Superb finish by Nani - he’s incredibly streaky though. Mixes some bits of genius with complete mediocrity.

Gareth Bale’s been getting lots of publicity for his work going forward but he can’t defend for shit. Reckon they’ll need to play him left wing and let him go forward most of the time for a while.

So Evra went off because he wasn’t feeling well:

Nani just got sick on the pitch now, whats going on there at all?

Great win. The 2nd from Nani was outstanding.

Great win alright, Nani was superb at times today. Has really turned it around in the last few months. Scholes brilliant again today.

Bad news is that Rooney may miss the last two games due to injury.

Shay Given was stretchered off after seeming to dislocate his shoulder in making a great save from Diaby with around 20 minutes to go. It finished 0-0. He dived at full stretch to his left, tipped it around the post and it must have popped out on impact with the ground. He looked in lots of pain.
