Epl 2012/13

Yeah their partnership has been very good and deserves a mention but in recent months Fergie has been rotating the central defenders a lot and I felt others were more deserving of a spot.

I think an Epl Team is in the order so. Bale will probably win Pfa Player of Season closed followed by Rvp and Suarez.

Petr Cech
Rafael
Jan Vertonghen
Vincent Kompany
Leighton Baines
Juan Mata
Michael Carrick
Yaya Toure
Gareth Bale
Robin Van Persie
Luis Suarez

That’s a dodgy team, Captainshan. Kompany has been way off a decent level this season - Nastasic has been much better than his senior partner but he shouldn’t be in a best XI either. Zabaleta is far and away the best right back in the league and has been excellent and he should be the Manchester City representative in the back four. Yaya Toure has been distinctly average for large parts of the season too. Surely there’s been a better goalkeeper than Cech also.

Other keepers like Joe Hart and David De Gea were considered but felt they had parts of the season when they made a few costly mistakes.

Maybe Toure wasn’t the best choice now that I have thought about it. I still think he is a top player but maybe he hasn’t reached the heights of last season. I think the other players I had considered (Hazard and Carzola) had excellent starts but trailed off slightly the middle of the season. I know Hazard has recaptured the early season form.

It was a toss up between Rafael and Zabaleta. I went with United. Its not a shock. Rafael can be United first choice right back for the next 10 years easily.

I think Kompany has been great. When he got injured and missed a few games that was when City went through a bad spell which lost them the league. Cant really comment on Nastasic. I havent seen enough of him. I didnt feel Evans or Ferdinand did enough to get in. If Vidic had played more i think he would have got in based on the games he did play.

I checked the Fantasy Premiership Site and here is their Overall points team of year so far. It is not a true reflection I know but a good indicator nonetheless. Id say Ivanovics ability to play Centre Back or Right back would hurt his chances to get into any team of the year. I forgot about Michus great season. Gerrard has been consistent ill give him that.

Kompany has been average at best.

He was poor for Jermain Defoes goal on Sunday alright. I checked that in the 6 epl games that Kompany missed they only picked up 8 points. In the 6 games he played before the injury they picked up 15. City missed him thats for sure. That Southampton game comes to mind.

How the FUCK could anyone who watches football leave Zabaleta out of an EPL team of the season, good grief.

Nice gesture for Marc Vivien Foe there. Lots of empty seats at the City of Manchester Stadium.

That was coming to say the least. City should spank this lot now. West Ham are built in the image of their manager, and thats not a pretty image. He’s right to hold off and see what happens at Barcelona though before committing to West Ham for another season.

Nastasic is the best defender in the league.

Big Sam is seething

Pablo Zabaleta has given yet another masterclass in defending and attacking here today, his all round game in unparalleled in the EPL. Gary Neville says hes the best, thats enough for me.

Plus he’s a crazy as fuck Argie

Unbelievable how this is still only 1-0. City in about 2nd gear at best, but should really have a sackful at this stage.

Big Andy will bag one …

It wouldnt surprise me if Nasri keeps acting the shite on the edge of his own box like that

My Barclays Premier Leagueā„¢ Team of the Season:
