Epl 2012/13

Confirmed ruptured cruciate ligament

+1.

Diaby has also had a fantastic start to the season and Jenkinson and Gibbs are beginning to look like players Arsenal may yet be able to rely on. Mertesacker has also looked much improved this season.

Surprised that a German international with 100 caps can hack it in the EPL!

Yeah, looked that way.

When a knee buckles like that you are most likely gone for 6 months.

Werenā€™t you slating Jenkinson before the Liverpool game ?

Iā€™ve been proven wrong on Podolski. He is in great form already. Even Gervinho looks like a reasonable player this term. Giroud could do with a goal though.

Cazorla and Arteta seem to be combining very well. Walcott will always rack up a decent amount of goals and assists too

Iā€™d have a worry about Arsenal being done on the counterattack and not sure about their keeper either.

Iā€™d hold off on Podolski yet-he has started well but I think he will fade into insignifigance in the months ahead. Gervinho is average enough to be honest. Cazorla is a smashing player.

He may well have a quiet spell but heā€™s been a very good player for a long time now and I donā€™t see that changing imminently.

Cazorla is excellent alright and Gervinho deserves credit for his performances so far.

Not so much at club level and I would be surprised if he scores more than 10 or 11 league goals this season. Gervinho has been ok in a few games this season but his final ball/finishing leaves a lot to be desired.

Iā€™d just like to give credit to Gervinho for his performances so far.

I doubt you saw him much at club level to be honest if thatā€™s your opinion. He has been consistently excellent and just didnā€™t fit the picture at Bayern but was never poor.

Also Podolski needs to be judged on far more than goals - heā€™s not a striker.

Yes but I donā€™t know how you didnā€™t get the backtracking vibe from that post that I was making my stance clear on howI may have been a little harsh on both Gibbs and Jenkinson.

In fairness anyone slating Jenkinson was only calling it as they saw it based on last seasons performances. He appears to have improved remarkably.

I agree with that alright-still think his game will start dropping off mid-season but it wouldnā€™t be the first time I was wrong.

Diaby going off injured for Arsenal - big blow for them.

Torres gives Chelsea the lead, really poor defending by Arsenal from the free kick - exposing the weakness of man marking.

Koscielny makes an asbolute howler and Arsenal survive a penalty shout.

Arsenal getting outmuscled in midfield since losing Diaby, they have got a lot of ball in wide areas but they have no target in there for crosses which has made it very comfortable for Terry and Luiz. Arsenal could do with getting Giroud on, Ramsey has been very poor for them and their centre backs look shaky.

Surprised Diaby lasted that long, never been the same since that horror injury against Villa was it? Gibbs has been shown up badly so far also as has Ramsey, another player who hasnā€™t really recovered from an injury.

Diaby has looked really good from what Iā€™ve seen this season. Gibbs looks uncertain defensively but has done well in attack. Jenkinson has looked really good too. Ramsey having a shocker.

1-1.

Nicely worked goal well finished off by Gervinho.
