Thought he was slow getting down to it.

Yeah, wasn’t my reaction at the time but wouldn’t mind seeing it again. It came through legs didn’t it? Probably didn’t help. Also the fact Southampton had more numbers on far side of the box meant the shot wasn’t a certainty maybe.

Shocking pass from Rodwell in the first place anyway.

Saw it from 2 angles and originally thought he seemed quite slow, didnt look much better from behind but it did come through a pack of players as you said.

Mancini may not have been kidding whene he said he didnt think City would be up.and running for a few more weeks yet. Interesting to see him go back to the 4 at the back also.

Tevez has looked very very sharp in the pre season ans again today.

Laudrup has magnificent hair.

City should buy a few fullbacks as the ones they have are average enough.

Pablo is a fucking hero, you take that back.

Looking back on the highlights of this game, Fabio was an absolute fucking disgrace. Cant imagine how he lasted at OT for so long or how Ferguson managed to con that Hughes cunt into taking him. Ron Atkinson would have a phrase to describe him based on that evidence.

Any ideas who the QPR left back was? Saw the third goal again on MOTD2 last night - incredibly bad.

Was it the lad they signed from Arsenal last season? Traore or something?

Just checked their team, and the back four was Fabio, Ferdinand, Onuoha and Hill. Onuoha I’m guessing from them?

Rio is out tonight, leaving us painfully short on centre backs. Carrick could end up there. :strokechin:

No 20 Bandage, it was Fabio

I thought it was Taarabt, obviously not a left back but it looked more like him than any of their back four.

Also it would be more like him not to bother running back. Maybe the defenders had gone up for a set piece and Swansea broke away.

Van persie on the bench. The United back four has Valencia and Carrick in it. Attack is the best form of defence tonight you would think.

United have agreed a fee with Vitesse Arnhem for 23 year-old left back Alexander Buttner.

And Cleverly and Scholes in the middle, if Everton are worth anything they should get something from this.

Against Gibson and Neville in midfield.

Scholes is ten years passed it and Cleverly is out of his depth.
