Italy’s defence is the key for me. I think they’ll be there or thereabouts come the semi finals/final. Thats if they have absolutely anybody to score a goal.

It’s been a good tournament, the so called minnows are more than holding their own.
While club football is becoming incessantly boring and discontenting, international football tournaments still have their lustre.

They’re cuntishness is a separate issue.
They’re a traditional European football power…and to not get into an extended competition of 24 teams is shocking.
I’ve enjoyed it so far…all exciting close games.
Because they’re a crowd of cunts who can’t pull together when the pressure comes on.
We have plenty of utility players so we will be flexible, a lot depends on whether some of the new guard - Florenzi, Insigne, Bernardeschi can step it up.
There is no standout team and that is encouraging for our own chances as it’s a pretty average looking squad we’ve brought and also from a neutral point of view in the prospect of surprises and tense games.

this is the last pure format, where teams are generally disappointed with draws, the real interest killer in league soccer. The last good tournament too perhaps, the multi venue euros will be atmosphere less and the next two world cups disasters for fans.

It always cracks me up how you can foul to your heart’s content as a defender/keeper when the ball is running out of play…but in the middle of the field you bet a yellow card for the same Offence.
