Not at all. I re-iterate 16 of the 22 man 1990 World Cup Squad were born on the island of Britain. Ray Houghton was born in Scotland, Kevin Sheedy in Wales, Chris Morris, Mick McCarthy, David O’Leary, Paul McGrath, Andy Townsend, John Aldridge, Chris Hughton, John Byrne, Bernie Slaven, David Kelly, John Sheridan, Tony Cascarino, Alan McLoughlin and Gerry Peyton were all born in England.

It might be me getting older and not looking at things in a child like manner since I turned 32 but TV coverage seems way worse in the last couple of tournaments.

Yeah I’d agree but I’d say that a lot of that is because a viewer like yourself or indeed myself has become far more astute than the pundits commentating on the games. For instance you picking up the fact that Ashley Williams headed the ball for the first goal yesterday. Also I believe that none of the pundits highlighted the fact that for the second England goal the key point was that the cross was deflected which ended up throwing the defensive line of the Welsh out completely end spreading chaos.

Similarly no one referenced the fact that yer man Gunter the tight back was as poor an international as there’s ever been.
