Shane Long must be the most one dimensional player at the euros. Completely incapable of holding up the ball and playing with his back to goal. Slab mightnā€™t have his pace but at least he would look to bully the centre halves and hold it up

Think McCarthy has done well enough in midfield. Hendrick the same. Hoolahan has had a couple of chances to play someone in but his touch has let him down. Heā€™s working hard but heā€™ll be fucked by 60 as Kev says. Whelan not doing much other than screening but heā€™s fine. Brady not involved enough.

Long having a frustrating time but heā€™s causing them problems and he just needs to stick at it.

Defence doing fine. Have allowed them a small bit too much time to swing in crosses sometime but understandably weā€™re taking care of the centre first.

Set pieces look our best chance but thereā€™s a few times theyā€™ve given it to us in their half but Wes and Hendrick havenā€™t taken advantage.
