Trippier Rice Phillips Shaw as the 4 in a 3-4-3 is really short on quality. I guess they want to suck Germany in and hit them on the break through the two wide attackers, but it’s still a midfield four of equivalent quality to that of Norwich, Blackburn or somebody. They really needed to show some ambition and play Grealish centrally in a #8 type role. I’ve probably jinxed it now.

It’s intriguing, but there’s a lack of tempo in the passing from both sides.
Little injections of pace every now and gone but compared to yesterday’s game, it’s played at a much slower pace. More tackles flying in though.
