Euro 2020 thread (Part 1)

I see there’s an Emerson and Jorginho togging out for Italy alright. Two Brazilians project players I take it? Presumably the soccer hipsters and footix that spend so much time fulminating over project players in international rugby are similarly outraged over this.

Proper Roman Catholic sides here.

The ref got a bit in Moreno’s way there

Taking Immobile off was a terrrible call from Mancini. The game was tailor made for him at 1-0.

Euros have a habit of throwing up more dramatic semi finals than finals from what I can recall.

*Second half

They’re finding an acre in front of the back 4.

Wheres locatelli?

Belotti needed on. He’s not as good with his movement as Immobile but he is direct and can have the legs on Laporte.

France Portugal 2000

And the lad Toloi they brought on as well

Italy Holland too in the other semi with Italy playing with 9 men and the Dutch unable to score penalties. But the final was fairly dramatic too

All this match is lacking now is a shot of Sergio Ramos sitting in the stand looking worried.

France v Portugal 1984 is the best match in the history of the European Championships, at least it was until France v Switzerland last week.

Are Italy looking a bit leggy ??

England Germany in 96 and Germany Turkey in 2008 were epic semi finals too.

Denmark Holland was a classic in 92 also
