I do not get the hype about Declan Rice.

Chippy’s dead right there about Mings. Has been very steady. But overall there’s a bang of England v Switzerland 1996 about this, after which the English press savaged team and manager.
Jamie Redknapp’s introduction against Scotland changed things for that team. I expect Grealish’s introduction will change things for this team. They badly need him. I can see at least three changes to the starting team come the knock out stages if they get there.
Rice looks to be playing as a 3rd centre half hes so deep.
Croatia are comfortable here
My favourite moment was when Foden took the ball down out of the sky beautifully, laid it back to Walker and Walker belted an easy side foot pass right by him and out of play.

Declan Rice is a bull in a China Shop. The new Eric Dier.
Declan Rice has a very awkward stride. He reminds me of one of those Tyrone players in 2017 who was being skipped past by Jack McCaffrey and Niall Scully.
Grealish was a huge loss but Rice isnt a huge loss to Ireland. Totally overrated.
