Just looking at this in detail. The Georgia match in the Aviva stadium should be a massive massive occasion while the Gibraltar home match could easily attract a 25000 crowd in June, incidentally the same weekend limerick host Clare in the MSHC. Mr Delaney should be happy enough with that.
I wouldnt look forward anymore than that for now but suffice to say the final match v Denmark in the Aviva could be one of the great great nights for Eire scummy soccer.

That was the first leg against Bosnia in 2015! 1-1 draw in the fog, same night as the terrorist attacks in Paris. (Think it might have been Friday 13th November of that year)

Huh? Is it the ranking systems fault that Holland haven’t qualified for the last two tournaments and Germany didn’t get out of their group in the World Cup or Nations League while Denmark and Switzerland both qualified for the World Cup knockouts and won their Nations League groups? Bizarre comment

Holland didn’t qualify for the last two tournaments. Why shouldn’t Belgium be number 1? They were the second best team in the World Cup. The rankings obviously aren’t perfect but they are much better than doing the rankings on who the average lad down the pub thinks is the better team which seems to be your idea.

They were on the easy side of the draw. The second best team in a tournament doesn’t always get to the final. Pretty simple stuff. France, Belgium and Brazil were the three best teams in the tournament
