Euro 2024- Lamine Yamal:Wonderkid

I assume Lukaku has a twin. He was born second.

Hilarious

:joy:

SloVARkia.

Glorious win

Delighted for my Slovak colleagues

Slovakiaā€™s pedigree as an ex champion shone through there

Belgium proving yet again that Belgians are of inherently dubious character.

Does Rory McIlroy have any Belgian heritage?

Lobotka was class, I thought. Very classy.

I thought SeƔn Stack was correct to disallow both goals. I was impressed with Slovakia, even though Belgium applied second half pressure.

Theyā€™re a stuck together country like Switzerland , made out of parts

And Ireland in rugby.

Kenny Cunningham is RTE football coverageā€™s greatest asset.

Heā€™s gloriously opinionated, frequently comes out with batshit off the wall nonsense, and can machine gun out words at a rate of knots. He has a magnificent state of flow.

Heā€™s the sort of fella who should be running a budget airline.

On paper thatā€™s a seriously weak French side

I thought Kante was retired

He was

No he wasnā€™t.

France have started well.

They just didnā€™t pick him for over three year?

Well he was injured up to and after the World Cup, then want to Saudi and wasnā€™t picked for a while.

But he never retired.

I watched the second half of Slovakia-Belgium with the sound down, as I was on a work call, & I wasnā€™t keeping abreast of Twitter/X either.

I thought the handball disallowed goal was a very straightforward & uncontroversial decision & didnā€™t think any more of it. Iā€™ve just been browsing online & I see many neutral football personalities were apoplectic about it on social media.

Did I miss something?

Both disallowed goals were straightforward enough decisions given the evidence before the officials.
