Italy have changed it up fairly dramatically.
El Shaarawy starts from nowhere really, did he even come off the bench in the group stages?
Both Retegui & Raspadori drop out and Scamacca & Chiesa are back in aswell.
And Jorginho & Pellegrini who looked like nailed-on starters are replaced by Cristante & Fagioli.
And Mancini replaces the suspended Calafiori.
A lot of changes.

They definitely needed Chiesa back in, I think.
Might be a case of starting with legs and then bringing in the players who can control the tempo then.

Italy really struggling to build any play & Switzerland keep taking the ball off them in their own half when they press. Only the one big chance for them though and Ndoye telegraphed the finish, albeit a good save.

Only tuning in now but is this the worst Italian team in living memory? Their available squad of players is a pale shadow of what it was 20 years ago. The supply lines have really dried up in an attacking sense when El Shaaraway is starting knockout games. He wasn’t the answer 10 years ago.
The last lad to get that much space in an Italian box was a 5 ft Korean
