Ferguson is a rarer talent than Gasperini. Italians have had trouble coaching talented attackers for years. See Capello at Real Madrid. Any coach that doesnโt see it with Ferguson has an underdog mindset.

His issue with him seems to be attitude and work rate which is concerning. They are things that are controllable and should be a given for a young lad trying to make it. If Ferguson doesnโt have those qualities at 21 and itโs hard to see how he improves them later on in his career.
Ever since heโs broken through everyone has commented how mature and level headed he is. Youโd think workrate would come with that. Also moving to Italy with language barrier and everything shows ambition. Hopefully workrate improved with fitness and attitude improves as confidence comes. Sounds like the manager heaped pressure on fairly early which must be daunting.
