Youâre mixing your footix up. Itâs the Mancs that are talking him up. Heâs still a useless lump.
If you consider my posts on this ârantsâ, youâre a soft lad.
That goal youâre thinking of was against Leicester. 7 goals in 16 games is very promising. Although there is the caveat that the two at the weekend were against League Two opposition. Itâs very exciting to have a prospect like this filter through after watching contemporaries like Wales (Bale), Denmark (Eriksen), Norway (Haaland) etc.
Very early days for Ferguson though. Lads need to cool the beans as Davy would say. A âŹ100 million move as being mooted here is highly unlikely and also not idyllic as he would be moving to a club where his gametime would be limited. Brighton is a perfect set of circumstances for Ferguson at present.
Robbie scored 68 international goals for this country. He doesnât get anywhere near enough respect for that.
Brighton is a great club. A solid footballing philosophy, not short termist, they give youth a chance, understanding supporters. Lovely part of the world too, the English Riviera and the South Downs on your doorstep, London not too far away but far enough away for it not to distract you. If you were a very talented 18 year old footballer with your head screwed on, you couldnât be in a better place.
If we had peak-era Robbie Keane in the last 6 years or so, weâd have made a few more international tournaments
We have to temper expectations in the knowledge that itll be Hendrick and McLean supplying ammunition and not MacAllister and Mitoma
If thereâs one man in football youâd want to supply ammunition itâd be James McClean.
A pity Connolly could not be tamed.
Any direct flights from Ireland to Brighton? It wouldnt be a bad option for a weekends tomfoolery and take in a game at the Amex.
Gatwick is only up the railway line from Brighton.
Very close to Gatwick. Maybe 30ish minutes on train?
Snap
Brighton is very near Gatwick.
Not so bad at all.
Sounds more appealing that Newcastle or Liverpool for a weekend which are all the rage.
Iâll never forget the biting cold in Newcastle on a weekend there in January 2017. It would cut you in two. I can fully understand since why none of the Wags want to live up there.
Iâd say go to Gatwick and then 30ish minutes by train to Brighton
England clubs pretty average theae days
The footix getting carried away here
2 goals against grimbsy has them swooning
Youâll get tomfoolery in Brighton alright
