Evenings

Unbelievable  We didn’t get a sunset as good as that in Tipp.

I’m happy with the use of ā€˜pregnant with promise’ or ā€˜pregnant with possibilities’ interchangeably.

Yesterday/today would have legitimate claims to being considered the high water mark of the year when it comes to being pregnant with promise/possibilities.

Glorious sunshine with April, Aintree and Augusta National all on the horizon.

The ground firming up and the smell of freshly cut grass in the air.

And the two best hurling teams in the land, Tipperary and Cork, getting ready to fight it out for National silverware at the weekend.

We had our first midweek football match tonight. A glorious evening to go with it. Something good for the soul about it.

There’s a line in a Christy Moore song that always comes into my head this time of year

ā€œWhen the long evenings begin to come down,
I’ll take my guitar and I’ll head into town,
I’ll drink a few pints and I’ll act the clown
And it keeps the whole process in motionā€

Like awarded for your photo and evening appreciation, not for the horsey/horse and Cork Tipp

I repaired my front tyre puncture today in the hope of returning to a cycling commute tomorrow pregnant with promise. Took the young lad for a spin this evening to go for a few kicks and it burst again. Tbf it’s been the same front tire since I bought the bike during covid so it could do with a change.

No. No it doesn’t. A lazy evening, blazing orange sunset on the west coast is heaven.
