I only realised on the road from Galway to Kinvara that the lights on my car weren’t working. Dusk had fallen and I was conscious of the rural roads on my journey to Doolin so I had little choice but to push on through. I certainly left a little of my heart behind in Kinvara, though I was somewhat irked by the roadsign spellings with the double “n”.

Double “R” I reckon Rocko… I have yet to see it spelled with 2 n’s.

Exactly pal. I was “requested” to attend a meeting recently at work about becoming an ally. I never saw such horseshit. For what like? Just another bunch of fuckwits looking for high ratings from senior management for their non project efforts.

There is a guy in my team who is gay and to me he’s the same as any colleague, we have pints, I’ve met his partner and they are sound blokes. I don’t expect him to support the plight of the hetrosexual small farmer so why would he expect anything for me when it comes to supporting his sexual preferences.

pretty much investigation has seen the the EPDB issues fines that were many multiples of those recommended by dixon and the DPC

I am at that. I’d have expected they’d at least recommend a modest fine. Recommending no fine and landing on 1.2 bn is bananas and shows us up badly.

but its par for the course in DP investigations at this stage. weve been sent home with tae in our mug from practically every EDPB. if dixon cant levy the necessary fines then its time to get someone in who can. or, id imagine that there’s a high likelihood of political interference.

either way,we look shit in front of the rest of europe. we just cant do effective regulation
