Fantasy Premier League 2009/2010

I am aware of all of the aboveā€¦

Letā€™s leave out the childish insults though, ā€¦ you spa :guns::guns:

Iā€™ll finish with 137 and still lose ground on the league leader. Harsh.

Unreal. What the league leader score this week? Whoever they areā€¦

Fat Frankie is some legend in all fairness, a quick return to the top 10 is surely on the cards for the noble Lazarus Clough and his band of merry millionaire footballers. This being his first year in the job it comes as no surprise that the manager has been reassured by the board that he will have their full backing again for next season with a top 10 finish.
The chairmans vote of confidence left a wee tear in my eye, I donā€™t mind telling yeā€™z

What are the thoughts for this weekend?
Chelsea, Fulham, Hull and Portsmouth are all out twice so I suppose youā€™d want to be looking to the first three to fill up your squad.

Iā€™m dropping the dynamite this weekend, wildcard is finally going to be played.

Hull playing Chelsea at home in their second game so cant see many points being accrued there, Fulham not in the best of form at the minute so I wouldnā€™t be picking many of their players. Portsmouth, as you say, stay away from. Players picked might be sold before next week. Chelsea it is then, load up on them, away to Burnley and Hull. Question is, how do I get fat Frank into my team? Without losing Fabregas. Some serious thought required here.

I have fat frank and Anelka in since last week as I had one eye on this game week. Hull are at home to Wolves so may keep a clean sheet, but as you say that could be cancelled out by Chelsea in midweek. I would fancy Fulham to keep Villa scoreless and should beat Portsmouth easily mid-week so Iā€™ll slip someone from them in alright.

Fulham not as good at the back this year as they were last season, even if Villa are struggling for goals. Should beat Portsmouth alright. Dont want to make too many changes, am losing too much ground in H2H league as it is.

Big game for Fabregas this weekend, is he worth keeping over a 2 game Frank though? Drogba is back too, so Frank may not be as prominent again. Decisions.

Could Anelka be dropped for Drogba?

It has to be Chelsea captain, no doubt, especially with Fab playing a big club. He may still light the place up, but its a bigger risk. Lampard if you have him, but iā€™m thinking Ivanovic, as i think theyā€™ll go 2 clean sheets, and heā€™s not bad for the assists. Anelka and Ballack are my other Chelsea players.

Damien Duff is a good pick this week.

Anyone know if Malouda would e expected to play both games?

Would he be sacrificed to accomdate Anelka and Drogba up front?

Possibly, but he is playing well, very well in fact. Chance Drogba wonā€™t start the first game iā€™d say. But iā€™m not certainā€¦obviously.

Drogba was available for Wed night, so Iā€™d imagine heā€™s definitely be in the thoughts for this weekend. Heā€™s in the squad anyway. I bought Anelka in for Rooney the other night, didnt work out so well. Wildcard will solve that anyways.

Ya he was very good in the last two games, but when they had a full squad before the African Nations he was only a bit part player. I think I may take the gamble of putting him in.

West Ham playing Wolves next Wed but its not on fixtures for fantasy football. Not that either team are great but West Ham playing two games at home, might be worth a look at a cheap defender.

Heard on the news there that Drogba is being rested this weekend. Ancelotti will bring him back for the mid-week game.

Ancelotti is pretty fair and goes with form, and as Ivanovic showed, if you do well with your chance you stay.

Originally i was reading it as a double week, thus i got Upson in last week, he duly got me 8 points. I think they are in double week alright.
