I’m not overly gone on St.Ledger to be honest. There is a reason why he is at Preston. He will be grand next to Dunne but without I’d fear for him. Take Dunne and O’Shea out of our backline and we will really struggle. Thats not an overreaction but a fact.

Most posters on TFK would do alright on Jan Koller. Mc Shane isn’t the worst player in the world but he’s too mistake prone to start for any half decent international side. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs their head checked.
Are we half decent? We’re beside NI in the rankings, we have 3 decent quality players, around which we’ve built a solid side aided by a canny manager. Maybe half decent is where we are I suppose.
Houghton would have played for Scotland given half the chance, Townsend and Aldridge for England etc etc. We got them in early before they became really good and reaped the benefits.
Kevin Nolan though would be no improvement. He is useless. Cahill has already been in England squads as has Noble and Ferdinand so we can probably forget about them. O’Hara will be a useful player to have though and I’d be pretty sure he will be in the squad for the Euros.

Yep, I agreed, half decent is where we are, but only barely seeing as we didnt finish off either of those games. We’re average at best, and will always be attempting to box above our level.
