Favourite Comedy/Sitcom

Gavin and Stacey is largely shite. Women love it altogether, which says it all. Bryden is good in it tbf.

Sean Lock’s 15 Storeys High is very good. It’s not like any other comedy I can think of.

I don’t think there is anything that holds a candle to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Always Sunny is very hit and miss in my opinion. The good episodes are very good, like Dennis and Dee go on Welfare or Sweet Dee’s Dating a Retard, but a lot of the episodes just aren’t that funny. It’s nowhere near as consistent as Arrested Development, or even something like Modern Family which is excellent I have to say.

That was superb. Short but superb. After a 14 year interlude the old master is still as funny as ever. Maybe even more so.

Cost much to see him, fagan?

Watched a few episodes of Arrested Development which I found shit. It’s Always Sunny is brilliant, the last season was a little less prolific in its great vs. not-so-great episodes but there were still some brilliant ones. The 5 main characters are all superb and wonderfully acted. My personal favourites are The D.E.N.N.I.S. System and Charlie Writes A Musical, the one where they buy a boat is also genius.

65 notes a head.

 Great show. Oddly enough, that was the second time I’ve seen Maroon Golf. He opened for Chris Rock a couple of years ago in the Olympia.

[/quote]Maroon Golf was outstanding but Black Saab was legendary. I doubt I’ll ever see a better stand up.

I watched the first episode of Human Remains with Rob Brydon and Julia Davis last night upon recommendation of @Rocko.

I was very impressed.

Very funny, completely bizarre, and pretty sad.

The Simpsons, Seinfeld and It’s always Sunny would be my top 3 I’d say.

Family Guy  makes the poll and Seinfeld and Frasier don’t?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

South Park hit a golden run where they could do no wrong a couple seasons back (Imaginationland, World of Warcraft and Manga episodes, Little league episode) -South Park wipes the floor with Family Guy.

Family Guy is incredibly unfunny.

I still for the life of me cannot understand how Seinfeld is considered funny.

Seinfeld is the standard bearer for sitcoms.

Larry David is gold

The funniest thing Jerry Seinfeld ever did was that interview with Pat Kenny on the Late Late Show about some Bee movie he was in.

That was comedy gold.

Larry David is fucking wonderful alright. ā€˜Curb Your Enthusiasm’ is without doubt my favourite comedy of all time, I never got into Seinfeld, strangely enough.
