Favourite Comedy/Sitcom

I watched the first few episodes and lost interest. Again a personal thing.

Only watched it this year. Very will written.

Itā€™s harder to classify what is a sitcom nowadays. From the 1960s onwards, they had very specific things - either a studio audience or a laugh track and went with a three camera setup. I Love Lucy was the trailblazer in this regard. Most comedies now are single camera and donā€™t have the laugh track but do retain many of the same conventions (i.e. recurring characters and locations)

Would be my pick as well. Of the Netflix era Iā€™d say Motherland would edge it for me.

A decent show.

Sex Education wasnā€™t bad either.

Youā€™re too auld Iā€™d say. Inbetweeners will rightfully go down as a classic and one of the best ever

I pity you.

Ted Lasso counts as American, I suppose. I donā€™t know if itā€™s a great but I enjoy it.

Do you still have it?

Not sure if the Royle Family fits into the timeframe?

Nana was a character for the ages. One of the all time greats.

Jim annoyed me though.

All this floundering about it really just confirming my observation.

Yes

Correct. In truth itā€™s probably fools and horses

Sorry about that if you had to climb up into the attic.
Itā€™s on torrents now. It wasnā€™t a few years ago when I last checked.

Is that supposed to back up your opinion that its great because that isnā€™t even remotely funny
