I half read your post so apologises for any misunderstanding.
Carrey was far more than āless grating that usualā. The film needed a larger than life character in the main role, albeit more refined that Carreyās usual characters, and Carrey played the role to perfection for me.
Itās an average movie with a shite bag as the lead ā¦ letās just leave it at that and move along.
