Finland v Ireland - Nations League - Wednesday, 14 Oct, 5pm

Who do you they expect to pay Big Sam?

The points gone over your head there mate

They beat us in the boxing outbreaks most years too. Nearly more embarrassing.

Agreed but how would they expect the FAI to pay him for Hoof Ball.

Direct the query to the imaginary people @Arthur has invented on twitter

I was exaggerating for effect but he was linked with the ireland job in the past. My point is that there are certain breed of irish soccer fans whoā€™ll respect any achievement in England over domestic achievements. Kerr suffered from the same thing. They get embarrassed if the average English man wouldnā€™t know our manager

Phillipe Troussier is the man for the job

Fair enough. Letā€™s give spock some time and combine resources to ask the baying twitter mob to do the same. Itā€™s just that if the hipster miguel ken early wankers are still talking about green shoots and expansive football after two years 14 defeats and 4 goals and still nodding sagely, Iā€™ll have joined the mob looking for big sam

Weā€™ve lost twice to Finland. Finland!

I accept that Kennyā€™s just in the job and has a lot of shit go against him but the signs are very worrying in my view.

Heā€™ll survive for a good while I think as the FAI canā€™t afford to sack him and there is no real set structure in the organisation at the moment.

I will say that at least he tries to play football. Some of the stuff in recent years has been utterly demoralising.

he is a wanker that has failed at his 2 biggest jobs so far

I actually think Big Sam could do a good job. He has a better managerial CV than 3 of the big 6 managers in the EPL. Ousted from the England jobs over a few comments down the boozer.

Itā€™s only football

The most important of the least important things.

Heā€™s strange

You what, mate?

I think lads are seriously disrespecting the Finns here, they aint Andorra FFS. This unfounded arrogance of expectation is the biggest problem with regards to the Irish national team.

They are probably something similar to ourselves.

So losing twice to them isnā€™t good.

As is failing to score against them.

Yes they are very similar only they have a quality striker in Pukki and we donā€™t! They are doing now what we did for years with Robbie Keane, set yourself up to be defensively solid and let the goal scorer do the damage.

Quality? A bit of a stretch I think. He didnā€™t score in either match and was subbed tonight relatively early.

He was instrumental in their qualifying group this is very basic stuff.
