I asked a mate of mine the question an hour ago. He’s the best soccer trivia quiz man that I know and he came back to me with Pennant. He said Pennant went to Portsmouth in the January 2009 transfer window on loan, a week before they were dethroned as FA Cup holders.
That’s insane knowledge. I’d forgotten Jermaine Pennant even existed. I don’t remember anything about his football career anyway.
Did he not win the FA cup with Arsenal? I remember him scoring at hat trick against Southampton in a league drubbing of them a couple of weeks before the two teams were due to meet in the final. Circa 2003 or 2004

Socrates and Rai I’d say. Socrates played in 1982 and 1986. I only recall him missing a penalty, not scoring one, though perhaps he scored one in some game.
I think Rai scored a penalty for Brazil against Russia in 1994 but otherwise he wasn’t great in that tournament having been written up as a star before it. Not sure if he was in their team for the latter stages.
