The legs showed in the end. That extra week in professional sport is huge.
They kept the head pretty well in the end, but realistically Hawthorn should have won by 20-30

That online poll reflected very well how the game went.
What a morning! Epic stuff. Well done Kev for providing such high quality cheap entertainment
lesson for anybody who is bored watching live sports in which they have no particular interest
a sizeable wager will generate an unhealthy level of interest
I had to sell my All-Ireland ticket during that, you utter cunt @caoimhaoin
I have Thrawneen II’s birthday money on this.

If only you had backed Big Mick
I’m with you from now on, Puke.
Big Mick, who handed out awards at our football club when I was U-11 and was an absolute gent, is the only man.
well done Anto
we all knew it was going to be a very, very close game that was impossible to call, you spotted that handicap really well and called it first great tipping pal

What is the consensus on game 2 of the double?
If I am being honest my confidence in the “sure thing” has been rattled but I don’t want to appear ungrateful as a win is a win.
It should be a bit safer than today. Fremantle are in great form and most importantly very fresh. Sydney have a lot of injuries, I fully expect Fremantle to win this with a bit to spare.
I’ll leave it to Kev for the expert opinion, he hasn’t let us down yet.

ill be searching for an online poll that reflects the opinion of the Australian public before i wade in anyhow
Jaysus some awful windy cunts here… All that matters is the result. Well done kev.
Ya I never said it would be easy and I always felt the extra week would tell. I bet with history on this. I wouldn’t touch a Geelong-Hawks game all things being even.
But they were not even.
Freo was always the more likely bet. Everyone is saying it will be a war and this is Sydney’s only chance. I think a war lessens their chances as highly physical high tackling games are more taxing than high intensity running open games so I expect fatigue to be an even bigger factor here. I’m slightly worried about my 1-39 bet in fact. Sydney will lay into them for 2-3 1/4’s and then I expect a fade. How early that fade comes determines that margin

Make your way over to fitness thread, kid.
Easy. Freo actually rested players. They could have won by 100 points, I never saw such a hiding in a big game. It was like rugby at one stage, the ball didn’t leave the Sydney half for what felt like 10 mins.
A very noticeable difference in the support of Freo and Eagles. Much more passionate. Eagles are far more passive.
well done kev.
