The ‘Short Suit’ for men is actually happening, and here’s what it looks like
Fashion necessity, or sign of the end times?
THE SUIT WITH shorts. It’s the fashion development men have been either waiting for, or fearing. And it’s finally here.
“It’s definitely having a moment, particularly with younger guys,” menswear company J Hilburn’s creative director Jon Patrick told Businessweek.
The suit with shorts has, of course, been around for donkey’s years in theory. But major high street retailers are now jumping on board. Business Insider claims that “The ‘Short Suit’ is finally going mainstream.”
It will be up to each and every citizen of this country to point and laugh at anybody they see wearing one of these. Ridicule them at every opportunity-it is our duty as citizens. A load of fucking bearded women is the next generation of Irish males.

Just, no.

The ASOS outfit isn’t bad actually. I could seen myself drinking a few old fashioneds on the roof of the Gansevoort in MePa and sporting that. Wouldn’t wear it in Dublin mind.
Lots of sales going on, didn’t have the patience to spend much time shopping but picked up a light blue all saints shirt with 1/2 length sleeves. Think it will look alright with sleeves rolled up. Will have to be tucked in though which I would never normally do with a shirt for going out. Light grey all saints tshirt too. I’m still considering whether to go back for a brown kinda tweedy blazer from topman. Got new white cons too, the ultimate shoe.
I doubt we’d get in anywhere where a shirt tucked in would not look out of place with you in your hallucinogenic Skechers and a bin liner with two holes cut in it for a shirt.
Lads, the leisure suit is having another outing on Friday for a wedding afters.
I need a pair of blue/navy shoes.
Where can a man get a reasonably priced pair of shoes in Dublin these days? Last pair I bought was a pair of Campers which were fantastic but well over €100…
I fit into it better than when I bought it. At the time the lad in the shop told me there was no need to close the buttons on the jacket. Which was ideal as I wasn’t able to anyway. I can close both buttons now with ease. Until last month though I thought I’d never be wearing the thing again.
