Why not? A grand pair of brown lace up brogues under slim fit chinos would do you fine.
Black shoes are grand under a suit bit only a tinker would wear them under anything else

You’re in college, why would you wear brown shoes? Those shoes aren’t great but they’re a start. Something more plain. Think brown boots instead of shoes if you have to have a proper shoe. Invest in some nudie jeans.
I’m talking about night life attire and I don’t wear them anymore.
