Great tune, beautiful
Christ I loved her and I love that song.
Saw them supporting Hot House Flowers in the RDS in '88. They were absolute shite.
Nicole: a little peace.
My sister got this as a picture disc and I broke it on her after a sibling row.
Wouldnât blame you. We were taught this song in school like it was some significant moment in history. It was a german hippie singing shite.
In fairness, the teacher in question was brilliant, but working very hard in her first year to be in some way contemporary.

This song was a great influence on my adolescence, much like the previous one I posted.
Wasnât Nicole only about 16 when she won, it was huge in Ireland, Garth Brooks like huge
That was a gas day actually. Black Velvet Band followed by Deacon Blue, then Aswad (âDo you like reggae? 36000 people - Noâ) then Tracey Chapman who I thought was absolutely brilliant the the Flowers who were fucking awesome. I ended up on top of many very very tall human pyramids, will never understand how I didnât break my fucking neck.
I seem to remember some fellow posters were at that gig - @ciarancareyshurlingarmy ? I might be completely wrong though.
It was a great day though, topped off with the Hydro that night where I shifted some young one from Mullinavat.
did I hear somewhere the crowd were chanting âhave you got a fast songâ at her ?!?
Not me for that one.
