AFL season got under way in Australia at the weekend, with the NAB cup (bullshit pre season tournament) opening round of games taking place. These games mean little other than seeing new players or blooding rookie players. West Coast Eagles beat Essendon by 35, Port Adelaide beat Adelaide by 56, Hawhtorn beat Richmond by 72, and Western Bulldogs beat Brisbane 53-45 in monsoon conditions. Tommy Walsh is rumoured to be making some sort of apperance for St Kilda this weekend against Collingwood, so that will be interesting.
