Further Things That Are Wrong (Part 2)

It’s a skill long since lost with the introduction of the mobile phone.

I can hear you now giving directions around Dublin.

“Do you know where Croke Park is?”
“I do”.
“Well, it’s nowhere near that”.

If it makes you happy to say this, that is fine with me.

That’s it, it’ll never be perfect. Tusla, bad and all as they are, don’t have never ending lists of foster homes. There’s nowhere for most of these kids to go.

The young lad effectively works for Tusla.

They’re changing their terms and conditions of employment, shift patterns and the like.
There’s going to be a mass exit and the whole thing is going to even worse than it is already.
The young lad will be gone in a couple of weeks.

There’s a gag out there of a lad wondering what to get his wife from Santa so he had a peep at her recent searches on her phone.

Try explain that to Numbnuts though

What type of role is he in?
I’ve had lots of experience with TUSLA in my professional capacity, it’s been generally positive, bad eggs like in every organization but most of them are doing their best, tough gig

Me mother and fathered threated to kill me 3 or 4 times a day when I was a young lad.

How did the tutor and the chauffeur treat you? I’m presuming the latter not too kindly, given your aversion to cages.

Apparently There’s massive staff shortages there and they pay is pittance for the level of shit you’ve to deal with. Pure burnout

They’re well paid by any standard, and nowhere to be seen outside the 9-5 hours despite plenty of them claiming allowances

so, it is another failed organisation wasting taxpayers cash which is the minor issue considering children suposedly on their radar are being murdered

This isn’t about any particular individual.
It’s about the terms and condition of employment. Not what he signed up for.

Not sure €40k and totally understaffed ,which means more work, is well paid when you consider you’re dealing with some of the most horrendous family set ups which is mentally draining. Like everything people vote with their feet , nobody wants to do the job hence so many vacancies .

probably depends how many situations do they resolve ? Until you know this then we don’t know if it’s over extended or do we go straight to say its failed ?
