All of Liverpoolās European Cups were won in regulation 7:45/8pm kick offs. Generally with such matches played in late May in Europe, the early stages will be played in the evening light but darkness will have closed in by half time. The further north and west you go the later the darkness closes in.
As it is this one ended up finishing in the dark because Arsenal were stuck in front of the mirror for three hours putting on their make up.
I believe (I am not certain but I believe) Celtic in 1967 were the last team to win a European Cup final in the daylight.
Daylight European Cup finals donāt work unless Celtic are involved.
When is the last time an English team won champs lge/ European cup final by more than a goal? . Bar the Liverpool comeback v Milan They always seem to be tight tense games - city /inter , Liverpool/spuds, Chelsea /city , Chelsea/bayern, United /chelsea , United /bayern
