Thereâs a car park there at the back of where the filling station/fine wines is. You can pay on an app (make sure you do). Itâs a mugs game trying to get parking on the grounds during visiting.

I was on here couple months back giving out yards about it when the Ma was in there. Its insane how poorly run and operated it is. In whatâs already a stressful situation, heaps an amount more on top. Ridiculous

The car parking situation in Sligo Hospital is poor too - well there are spaces but the car park is well away from the hospital. They run a shuttle bus though - or at least they used to.
Youâd be quicker walking unless youâre very bad. Was there a bit last Christmas and hardly seen it.

The hospital is continuously expanding but the parking stays the same
I think the biggest scandal is that companies are making millions off people who are already stressed enough and then have to pay for parking at the hospital.

Also there is a shuttle bus,the mother was in thrre last year and it seemed regular enough.

Deloitte Ireland was paid âŹ10.45 million in fees from the State since the start of last year providing consultancy services on the response to the international protection (IP) accommodation crisis and the war in Ukraine.
In the three months to the end of June alone, the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration paid Deloitte Ireland LLP âŹ2.45 million, new figures show.
The payment to the professional services firm for the second quarter breaks down between âŹ2.07 million under the heading of international protection accommodation and related costs, and a further âŹ378,687 on Ukrainian accommodation and other costs.
The figures show that payments to Deloitte Ireland LLP from the Department of Integration and the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration total âŹ10.45 million since January last year. Of that âŹ8.86 million was spent in relation to international protection and âŹ1.6 million on Ukrainian refugees.

The âŹ53m (ÂŁ45m) Dassault Falcon 6X is usually equipped with a FalconEye system, made by Israeli defence company Elbit Systems.
But MicheĂĄl Martinâs government was forced to purchase the aircraft from a French firm without it after Ireland blacklisted all Israeli defence technology in 2024.
Kevin Phipps, a former Irish Air Corps pilot, said the missing system provided âthe ability to land in fog when other aircraft would have to divert to another airportâ.
For the Israeli system to be included in the Falcon 6X, the Irish government would have to enter a written agreement with Elbit.
Procurement officials in Ireland decided this was a step too far for Ireland and asked that the system not be included, the Irish Journal reported.
However, four new Irish air corps helicopters were still delivered with flight systems manufactured by Elbit as the aircraft would not be operational without them.
Alex Gandler, spokesman for the Israeli embassy in the UK, said the jet could not land in fog because of âanti-Israel brain rotâ.
Writing on X, he said: âThe incompetence and ideological fervour run deep. An Irish jet canât land in fog because of rabid anti-Israel brain rot.â
Eylon Levy, the former Israeli government spokesman, added that it sounded âlike a typical âIrish jokeââ.
Just saw a middle aged bint do a terrible parking job outside the local German multiple taking up two disabled spaces while not sporting a disabled badge on the windscreen.
I would have confronted her only I was recently given a telling off myself over parking outside a seperate outlet in Cobh for not using a parking space but parking along the perimeter close to the door. I thought better of it.
