That’s why it’s hilarious lads get worked up over all stars. Kyle got young hurler of the year in 2018 but no all star to shoehorn another lad in.
Finn basically won too many so they left him off this year.

Finn wasnt great this year. He conceded a lot of scores but he was marking the best man every day.

Individual awards are pretty meaningless in the grand scheme
Im sure if brick walsh could give back any individual award he won or ciaran carey for one all ireland they’d take your hand off at the wrist

Not really that simple either though. Obviously just as a straight choice an all Ireland is better than an all-star but I wonder would most people prefer Joe cannings career one all all Ireland, multiple individual awards or someone like Darren Daly for Dublin or even taggy fogarty multiple all Irelands but very little individual recognition.
Who made the bigger impact on the game or is more highly respected ken McGrath or James barry.
