GAA All Star awards - sponsored by Ferrero Rocher. The chocolate of champions

Any performance by any player against Waterford this year should be completely overlooked

Cheddar Plunkett is insistent that Laois goalkeeper deserves at least a nomination.
Imagine Laois will possibly get a few nominations

Anonymous against limerick, how’d he get on against Tipp?

:smile: Amost took you seriously there for a sec

Tony Kelly has had a magical championship, spent it appearing and disappearing

Gillane had a performance of the ages against Clare, Finn got man of the match but he was absolutely outstanding

Nobody watched the Cork game, he was non existent against Limerick and Tipp and Waterford doesn’t matter

Agree but Clare were abysmal that day. He still not in top 5 Lk players this championship .

In the four group games Tony Kelly was as good as any limerick player on average. Clare got knocked out on points difference and that was essentially due to the fact they played Waterford first. A lot of limerick fans getting very carried away.

He played well in the first half against Waterford when he wasn’t marked and had the run of the place - like the league game in Pairc ui Rinn. When Waterford belatedly stuck someone on him he hardly featured thereafter.

Anonymous against Tipp.

Anonymous against Limerick.

Cork, who cares. The pressure was off and Clare were 90% out of the championship at that stage.

Has he played well against a top side in the championship for a full match since 2013? Look at Clare’s big games in recent years and he has been a no-show in most of them. Munster final 2017, Munster final 2018, both semi finals in 2018. Aussie Gleeson gets an awful amount of flak but Kelly gets away without a word being said about his disappearing acts.

His best, most composed and consistent display of championship 2019 came in the RTE Studio.

The studio appearance will clinch it for him.

You’d have to imagine that Horgan’s performance today will secure him an All-Star. And Callanan having scored a goal in every game will probably get him one. Which leaves just one space in the inside forward line (with Gillane still favourite for HotY afaik).

I’m going to guess Laois will get 3 nominations. Rowland might sneak the goalkeeper award.

Absolute state of these yokes, they should fuck them back at the cunts who approved them

looks like a @flattythehurdler wedding gift

At least they removed the godawful Opel symbol.
