Austin is going to have to pick them up on his back and carry them over the line here with 14 men.
Roanmore +3 is absolutely printing money here now
Big wind with Roanmore in second half, they got two point again the run of play just before HT.
Roanmore are limited but are fit, organised and have an extra man. They should be winning from here.
I’m fucked
Where’s Aussie and can he score me 1:10?
Mount Sion look far more limited to me, theyve no plan but to bate it fown the pitch. At least Roanmore are using it better and their touch seems much sharper
Fucking Hup ! Up Mount Sion, can’t beat tradition . I punched the air.
Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie
Will take that
Borris @ 9/4 or 23:10 on Pp has to be value.
Moycarkey are guaranteed top spot in the group and have a few niggles that they’ll rest.
It’s one of those games for Moycarkey that they can’t be up for as much as Borris. There’s no real rivalry between the clubs either. Borris could do with getting Ray mccormack back alright but I’d have them at around 5/4 given the context of the game.
1 pts win.
Drom 15/8 v JKB, that’s a 50/50 game imho. JKB were brutal v Loughmore the last day and lost to the same opponent last week in football.
They have a prelim quarter final if they lose whilst it’s shit or bust for Drom. 0.5pts win.
Kiladangan 8/11 v Toome. Can’t remember the last time Toome beat them and until they do Dangan should be 4/7 or lower. 1.5 pts win.
Treble pays 17/1 0.25pts.
Doora Barefield are 10/3 to beat Newmarket in relegation semi final tomorrow. The 2 of them met in the same venue of Tulla in last year’s group stages, and Newmarket edged past a 14 man D/B by a point.
I’ve seen Newmarket all 3 times so far and it’s incredible how limited they are. Very little threat from play outside of Crimmins and Power and they’re not top top class forwards. Theyve also had a mutiny and got rid of the management since they were beaten by Wolfe Tones. They’ve had Liam Sheedy down for a number of sessions this year, and the incredibly unlikely event of him being on the sideline for them tomorrow would be the only way I dont lump on D/B.
Its definitely more of a bet against NOF rather than a bet on D/B, who’ve seriously struggled this year. That said, they have won their last 2 relegation games and were in a very tough group. Rumour is they are missing their marquee forward in Davy Conroy, but he’s been fairly poor so far for them by all accounts. I just think they should be 6/5 or so, rather than more than 3/1
Colin Ryan has taken over as a sort of player/manager according to my sources on the ground.
They are going stink but they have tradition which is a powerful tool.
Sean Treacys 9/1 v Gortnahoe
Moyne 9/2 v Thurles B
Both are way way too big.
Treacys looked decent enough v Moyne & we’re in it v Sars until the final five minutes. Obviously Gortnahoe should be beating them but it’s intermediate hurling and no team should be 1/20 at that level. They struggled to beat Moyne in this group in round 1.
Moyne 9/2 not as extreme an outsider but Sars have 26 or 27 seniors used. If Bowe & O Connor play well they can win.
I wouldn’t back Barefield to beat anyone - a team of nice hurlers but they have some good prospects coming through.
Newmarket have been really poor though, absolutely no plan whatsoever with the ball aside from launching it aimlessly to two small men inside -
You love tradition
What difference will Newmarkets 23 county titles v Doora Barefields 5 make when it comes to the game? Doora Barefield have a club all ireland - should that not merit higher on your tradition’s ranking?
Interesting about Ryan if thats true, apparently they’d already tried to oust Carrig earlier in the year. I doubt he’ll stray too far away from the old guard, which is another point in favour of DB. NOF would be a much better team with Sean Arthur and Michael Power playing.
Also FWIW, I think your beloved Inagh Kilnamona will beat Eire Og Sunday, theyve a very good record against them last few years. Not bad value at 6/4
I think they are four good match ups this weekend. You couldn’t say with any real conviction that a particular side will definitely make the semis
I think he is actually an ideal candidate. The man had a serious hurling brain as a player and I have huge respect for his knowledge based on interactions I have had.
I hope it works out for him.
Not the first time they got rid of their manager when facing relegation.
They have looked out of ideas so far so maybe this was needed.
The four quarters should be tight games hopefully.
My tradition matrix calculates as follows:
1 All Ireland Club = 10 County Championships
1 Munster Club = 5 County Championships
Newmarket have two Munster Clubs so still well ahead tradition wise.
I totally agree with you re Inagh Kilnamona.
A team with their level of ability should never be such outsiders to beat Eire Og who are solid but not spectacular.
Inagh have the higher ceiling.
Eire Og’s younger cohort have impressed me - they have a bench now as well. Inagh’s 6, 8 and 9 are a weakness - they need Kevin Hehir midfield but think he is only back a few weeks
