I was looking at the first goal scorer market before the game (has a €5 on Hego, so it’s my fault he went off after 10 mins) and I saw WOD at the end of the betting. 25/1 first goalscorer. Lol I says to myself you’d be some mug to back that, you’d want 100/1.

I actually got stuck in at ht again when it was 44.5. That would have meant 27 in those conditions in the second half.

I needed that after hitting the crossbar a good few times recently. Only downside as always not getting stuck in enough.

I have 2pts on Antrim -2

Why?

With Horgan past his best i dont know have the Glen the power up front. Stephen Lynam and Eoin O 'Leary are promising but only 20 and 21 respectively. Simon Kennefick is decent but they might have to put one of the Downeys up front which will really weaken their defence.

Sorry, had no time for reasoning. Basically, Antrim a different animal at home, didn’t turn up last week. Westmeath short Mitchel and could be cold.

Nice

Fitzgibbon cup quarter finals this week sees DCU at home to Mary I and TUS Limerick at home to MTU Cork.

Both home sides came through the 3 team group with Maynooth who had some good players in their ranks.

I watched Mary I v SETU on the YouTube stream and couldn’t believe how poor they were. They were since well beaten by UL albeit both teams were without their main county players.
Mary I have been without Shane Meehan & Adam Hogan for the majority of the campaign so have been reliant on O Brien for scores.
DCU have a very good set of backs and look like a more rounded 15, my DCU contact has this as a 50/50 game. 2 points @ 3/1

MTU cork away to TUS sees the Limerick college a gigantic 13/2, it’s simply too big for a home game. They don’t have superstars that MTU have in Joyce/Connolly/Healy but they’ve some quality in Sean Kenneally, Niall O Farrell, Paddy Mccormack & Paddy Donnellan. The 8 point handicap is too big for any game played in that tight boggy pitch over in LIT.
1 point +8, 0.5 points win @13/2 and 0.5pts on the double with DCU @ 33/1.

Missed the last ten minutes thank god but DCU were better against a desperate Mary I who have no depth to cope with such losses. The county managers not helping their case either apparently.

It probably reaffirms my own suspicion that Maynooth weren’t brutal and DCU/TUS are ok workmanlike teams. Overall standard of the fitz is low this year imo compared to other years.

I’d be slightly more confident of Tus putting up a good show tomorrow night.

Under pressure now against the wind.

Fucked now. Got a bit of value for it.

Goal before half time was critical score that got mtu back into it and once LIT couldn’t get their long puck out away they were overrun but MTU who looked good.

Got some good value and laid off the double at half time to make a very small profit on that particular bet.
