GAA betting 2024/25

Limerick UNDERDOGS at this point.

Nows the time back Limerick.

Any price for the 5 in a row?

I fear the snipers in coopers will stop us

Nothing gives Tipp the horn more than Cork. They were content to see Limerick win all around them but the moment Clare and Cork got their shit together, here they are, ready for war.

Wicklow -3 is big bet territory for me today. Paddy power.

Tipp only lost by one to Wexford last week but Wexford rested a load after already securing promotion the week before. The fact they still couldn’t get a win means this is a dead rubber for Tipp against Wicklow who will get promoted if Waterford beat Limerick.

The reason this is only -3 is based on Tipps early league form but critically that is when they had Sean O Connor (prob best forward in division 4) and Steven o brien (one of the best midfielders when fit). Since both have went off they lost to London, hammered by Limerick who were lucky to draw with Wicklow last weekend.
You cannot really judge much off that Wexford game and if you want to be super critical Tipp we’re blessed to get wins over Longford & draw to Carlow, both of whom were well bet by Wicklow.
Wicklow average 21ppg and if you exclude their loss to runaway leaders Wexford it is 24ppg.

Barring mark Russell hits 3 2 pointers Tipp cannot come near 20.

Also have 1 point 10-12, 0.5 13-15 and 16+ on Boyles.

I’m going for Louth to beat Meath at 7/2 and a nibble at HT/FT at 10/1

Without Sammy Mulroy?

Any views on Tyrone and Dublin game

Meath in-running 28 mins in and 11 points down. They’re all over Louth, just struggling against wind to slot over.

7/2

And adding a bit more now 5/1

Louth shots carrying a mile with wind

There is no over exaggeration of what a big wind is worth with the new rules.

Another tipping masterclass :face_exhaling:

After a bit of success last night, I like Clare -2 vs Cork at evens tonight in the 20s.

Clare are missing one or two but have some excellent forwards particularly; the likes of O’Neill, Stritch & Collins will be some of the best forwards at this grade. And Hegarty at 6 has so much potential. O’Neill is the only one who’s been heavily involved with the seniors, so not a whole pile of disruption either.

Cork have some nice players; the two Walshes from Killeagh have a lot of potential and Ross O’Sullivan was a top minor. Those few were all involved in the side that were beaten narrowly in the Munster final last year too.

I know last night showed that you can’t necessarily rely on minor form for U-20s, you need to look at a broader view but I think a lot of people were underrating the Limerick minors from 2023, in particular, who beat Tipp and the eventual AI winners, Clare, in the round robin.

Whereas here, Clare have beaten Cork every year at minor for the past three years. By 9 points last year; by 5 points in the round robin and 7 points in the Munster final in 2023 and by 2 in 2022 (where a lot of this Cork team is coming from, probably the strongest of those three Cork teams).

I think the pricing is fair enough and maybe backing Clare outright is the safer bet; I just like when a team has firepower like they appear to. Cork will always be fairly decent at this level but Clare are probably AI favourites after Tipp’s performance last night. So I’m going for the -2.
