GAA betting 2026

Think the Carnew dinner dance is tonight and they’d have a good few involved.

Last night I think. An extra night of recovery from the pints.

They’re doing an overnight tonight in Roscommon so it’s nothing a few games of Gin Rummy won’t fix. Roscommon down so many bodies and Wicklow historically better than them anyway.

I’ve added Meath to beat London. London notoriously bad league starters bar their opening win last year. This is one time I don’t care about pre-season form in terms of Meath because trends are there for a reason and I’d expect London to be flat this early on. Anthony Nash gone too is a massive loss. He was a very good coach at that level.

Meath down a heap of bodies this year. Best player Jack Regan stepped away.

Limerick to win the national hurling league. 21/10

Few reasons.

They need to win it to get things back on track.
They don’t play in the first round of fixtures in Munster so will not only want to make the final. They will need to make it.
I still think they are the best team in the country. They tried to time their run for the older lads the last few years and it didn’t work. They are back to the hard graft preseason this year by all accounts.
I don’t think there’s many on the team can be complacent about starting after last year. It’s all up for grabs again.

Westmeath to be promoted from D3 football. Evs
I think Westmeath were very unlucky to come down last year. Bookies have Down heavy favourites to go up which is fair but I think Westmeath could well be the best team in it. A small nibble at 11/4 outright as well.

Antrim probably a bet at 5/6 to be promoted from D4 they weren’t far off D2 a few years ago. I would think previous management wasn’t a help. New manager fresh start. But I don’t know enough about them to be putting money down.

I based the bet mostly off the trend of London only have 1 opening league win in 12 years (last year at home to Roscommon)

And Meath historically just being above them anyway.

Westmeath to be promoted from division 3
Limerick to be relegated division 3 football @ 4/1 is a great price
Kildare @ 10/1 with pp to be promoted from 2 is massive. They are flaky as shite but they can play. Too big.
I expect Tipp to be very close to coming out of 4.

I’ve then done in a raft of multis/singles for 3 pts.

11s now

If I was backing agin the Tyrone and Derry in D2 I’d be on Cork. D2 looks very competitive though. By far the most interesting division to see have any of the Leinster teams actually kicked on

D4 is very weak this year. Normally there’d be one team that doesn’t belong down there but they are all on merit and are all D4 teams.

According to my mate Gemini this is the table for longest time in D4 in the last 20 years. I wouldn’t trust the cunt though.

Limerick and Wexford probably defying gravity at the moment. Whereas Longford are the team that least belong by that metric

I think Limerick will survive fwiw. Today will tell a lot. A relegation 4 pointer

Kerry ladies have 10 starters from their team that lost all Ireland semi final v Dublin. They also have a couple more who played the day.

Dublin have a total second string/developmental selection with only 3 starters from last year.

Kerry -2 @ 5/6 is a great pick for 2pts to start the weekend.

Who has the -2?

Gone everywhere now unfortunately. Was on PP only when I backed. Went for -4 for a while then (I think handicap market went down last night then)

Boyles never had Hcap for it

Neither team to 10 points in this Ladies Football match.

100/1 with Denise.

Louth 0-14
Armagh 0-9

Louth down to 14

Meath 1-20
London 1-10

Full Time

Meath were 5/4 when I backed which is nice. Trends are there for a reason - London probably got going early last year with Anthony Nash there but back to normal this year now.

Went for a Clare -5 & Wexford -4 in bookies earlier (hurling)

Lú 0:18 (18)
Ard Mhaca 0:11 (11)
Lú lead by 7 points
23:35 2nd Half

Armagh now also down to 14

Louth had it back to a point in injury time and then conceded 1-1 to lose by five
