My bad!
I just knew Antrim had a disaster of a league and googled to see if they played!
You would expect Antrim to cover that generally, I’d just be slightly concerned about all the talk. What have London’s results been like so far? Big margins?

Offaly freshly relegated from div 2 and behind a div 4 team in the betting.
Offaly are serious odds from.what I’ve heard
London poor since Anthony Nash finished coaching with them. Notable drop-off in quality
Thanks Anthony
Mrs Anthony.
It looks all wrong to me anyway. I know they had a tough year division 2. But that’s to be expected.
I would have expected them to be max 4th or 5th in the betting.
Down rightly favourites, but will they be arsed? Is the wind sucked out of them now?
Is the down that barely beat Limerick and Wexford in the league, lost to Laois (dead rubber TBF) and got hammered by Armagh the real Down.
Or is it the team that beat Donegal. At the moment the Donegal game would seem to be the outlier to me. 100% fair to have Down favourites. But definitely not unbeatable.
I am all over this and the -7 with Betfair (Limited with Bet 365).
There is clear defined levels between Joe McDonagh and Christy Ring teams like London.
Antrim on the face of it are under pressue but they were unlucky v Down (hit a lot of wides) and lost to Laois away. It was a draw in that game whereby Antrim had a considerable wind. The big score in that half was Laois’s goal slightly against the run of the play.
Laois dominated the second half as Antrim struggled on their own puckout and playing one inside. Antrim are in a poor position but there’s a big gap between Laois/Antrim/Kildare/Westmeath/Carlow and the likes of London/Derry imo. The likes of Paddy Burke, Conal Cunning, Elliot and McNaughton have scoring power to win this handy.
The -5/-7 should be closer to -12 any day these sides play.
You can get -15 @ 11/2. Thats a play in my book. That pitch in Ruislip is quick and Antrim will be looking to go after scoring difference if they are on top. Think they have the firepower to get very close to that.
Boyles?
More long-term, Cork are still odds-on to win the All Ireland camogie which is way too short. That means there is value elsewhere.
Cork are down a good few key players from last year and definitely aren’t clear of the pack as they were at their peak.
Galway won last year’s All Ireland (albeit with the help of a red card) and look to be stronger personnel-wise this year, Niamh McPeake & Áine Keane will both be back from ACLs.
Potential value in Waterford or Tipp as longer shots too but Galway should be strong favourites imo.
16 or more 7/1 in powers
Offaly were abject in the championship. A good few injuries. They looked like utterly disinterested.
There’s often no half way with Offaly. They’re either competitive or useless
Have they ever raised a gallop in the Tailteann?
I don’t watch it too closely but not that I can remember
There used to be a narrative from the anti Tailteann people that Offaly were to be respected because it showed their disdain for the Tailteann. In truth all it shows is their disdain for the jersey.
They’ll have to do it from the 1st round loser section as Leitrim will burst their bubble for them in the Marshes next weekend….
I’ve backed Carlow to win the Joe McDonagh at 6/4, 11/8 available now.
Carlow are 2 wins from 2 against Laois home and Westmeath away.
With games against Down and London left, Carlow are 1/10 to reach the final imo.
They will be favourites in the final against Laois or Westmeath, hot favourites if Down managed to get there. Hard to know if Antrim recovered to get there what the odds would be but they are up against it after losing to Down and Laois.
Around 10/11 or Evens looks closer to the actual price.
You can get Antrim -15 at 8/1 on pp in winning margin
Sligo 11/8 in play vs Tipp football 26 mins in (Boyles have the market)
Currently 0-04 to Tipp 0-09
Tipp couple of early 2 pointers with breeze but are poor - they started off 0-00 to 0-05 up
Cork are a big price against Kerry today at 10/3
Kerry have a good few injuries so cork won’t get a better chance… I’d go cork +4 at evs as a backup
