It’s well established that in any country that has been colonized the culture of the colonizer becomes seen as progress and enlightened while indigenous culture becomes seen as backwards … we are all a little guilty of the former to some degree … but there’s a large majority of the population that subscribe to the former. It’s so ingrained in them they cant handle their own identity / culture/ history - the good and the bad — and they are full of shame as a result. It eats some guys up.
