How much did they get out of it
Luxembourg made history today - ther first club to win the cup and and the shield on a Champions League hurling weekend - @Locke’s oul lads hurls still working the magic on the contitnent
To be fair, hurling is played in most/all counties, it’s just some are better at it than others.

What a dumb response
No it isn’t, it’s correct.
It’s a dumb response because the issue is growing the game, not it existing.
Yes, rugby league is played in Dublin too mate, it isnt popular though
I did see the point that the football division 3 & 4 play a part in the foot festival over their weekend in Croke Park. Why isn’t this done too for weaker hurling counties? Why not have a hurling league festival in PuíC next weekend?
What’s that got to do with growing the game?
Give them something to aim for, a big day out. Down the lines of bringing the junior and intermediate club finals to Croker. When the Lockes got to the club junior final in 2011 it was a great day out for the parish.
Bullshit. Surely you can’t be this clueless? Lockes are a fucking hurling club in Kilkenny, the same doesn’t apply to a community in Sligo or Roscommon. The issue isn’t fucking days out in Croke Park or PUC for lads from Monaghan, it’s about getting into the schools, getting hurls into the hands of kids at a young age. It’s our National game and half the population don’t know the heel from the toe. It’s a joke and your attitude shows just why it is.
What am I doing about it? I bring my kids to the local gaa club at the age of four and get them started. Here in Cork, clubs are duel, so they get both sports in one which is great. I’ve arranged for clubs I’ve been involved with here in Cork to go to KK and play. At u11 age group we got our arses handed back to us in hurling, and it was a wake up call to us at the club how much harder we needed to work to bring our lads up to standard. That same group of boys benefitted from seeing what good looked like, worked harder, and won at each level up to u15.
I can see you are riled up about this, you have a passion about it. What have you done about it? Apart from tell your opinion here and give out, what is your actual solution? Give answers for once. If you don’t like what people say, fine. Other people give opinions, but also cite reality and give solutions.
A league festival of hurling in Cork, as in, keep the league hurling final in PuíC for 5 years as a host venue. Counties like Roscommon or Mayo or Louth get to league finals. Hurling clubs from the county get hosted by clubs in Cork, run off a blitz between local and invited underage hurling and camogie teams. Counties then get to see what standards are like, learn from it, have training sessions, spread the game. The GAA funds the trip down. There’s a solution. What’s yours? Where are your plans about developing the game? What have you done? Earn the right to ask questions by bringing solutions.
Locke is mad as hell and he’s not going to take it anymore
He’s doing great work to keep hurling alive down in Cork.
An uphill battle.
No AI since 2005 sure.

None of this answers the questions asked. The GAA as in Croke Park have NEVER done a blind bit of note to promote hurling in half the island. Why is that?
Well done, you’re pushing hurling in Cork, wow, that’s not exactly rolling the stone up the hill. And I’m not asking you to go to the non hurling counties, I’m not asking you to do it, I’m asking what is Croke Park doing. It’s weird you started answering the question that wasn’t asked

Incredible missionary work alright, fucking hell, talk about missing the point
