GAA Managerial Merrygoround Thread - Where will Rory Gallagher end up?

I think Carlow will be back to Christy Ring level in 4/5 years. This is a golden generation and there is nothing coming behind them.

Kildare and Westmeath are in a significantly better place at underage and will unsurp them at senior level soon enough.

Ouch

Did Rory Gallagher start wuth Kilcoo yet?

Can you see Kildare sustaining any sort of success at hurling? Population is there.

Absolutely, population is there as you alluded to. New clubs being set up. Naas are a good team and would win compete well in other counties. Maynooth coming now as well and will pick up a county.

That development Maynooth have is amazing. One club town as well with a massive population, if they don’t win a senior in the next few years I’d be extremely surprised.

No guarantee. All they have to do is look up the road to Lucan. Massive growth for last 20/30 years and nothing won at senior championship level in football or hurling

Kildare club is a lot less competitive than Dublin

Ah it’s still poor for both hurling and football given the pick

Celbridge naas and maynooth all in that boat really. Massive population, one club, totally dual. It’s not easy to manage either in somewhat non traditional blow in areas. Naas seem to be cleaning up though.

Completely abusing the no-parish rule hoovering up kids from miles outside of their natural area. Parents are worse to be driving them at the same time

Blow ins don’t care who they play for

Or they want to be seen playing for the snazzy crowd

No loyalty

Would there be much hop of hurling in the surrounds of Naas?

This was a little bit of commentator’s eye.

Your good eye :+1:

Hopefully Poacher doesn’t go quietly
