The fucking get up of that
A wrong un
The further the team drifts over the hill the more they spend on a management team in the forlorn hope they can get another tune from them. I saw 4 Kilcoo lads playing for Down u20s tonight, they were hammered by Cavan with no real cause for optimism evident. They had a Ward playing midfield, pristinely turned out and sent off early in the 2nd half.
A lovely example here of the “This does nothing for…” GAA cliche. Even if it isn’t an example because the person doesn’t actually write the words “this does nothing for…”
They instead write the closely related variant “How does this promote…?”
“What does this do for…?” is another closely related variant.
Not having this game televised does nothing for Offaly hurling and does nothing for hurling.
Interesting take on all this. The GAA have conspired with Revenue to go after the likes of Kev
They better be tooled up if they are coming for Kev.
Kev has the EU in his back pocket
Glorified money laundering
I’m fairly sure he’s got that completely backwards.
In the situation that Ryan is talking about there, it’s the GAA themselves (via the county boards) that will be taking the hit, not managers, coaches, etc.
It will probably mean there will be tighter rules going forward alright.
But, in the event that no tax was paid by the GAA/county boards, it would have been the responsibility of Kev & the likes to pay their own tax on their earnings as any sole trader would (for amount in excess of allowable expenses).
He would presumably be doing it as part of his general work anyway, and there wouldn’t be any issue here if he was.
But it seems like the GAA will be assuming those liabilities for the years in question.
No harm to see where this money is going anyway
Kev? Never!
Does the review of earnings from sports now extend to coaches and referees in all sports?
And they better not be Israeli made tools!
Did he get Israeli ones to replace the ones that were robbed?
Bluffin officially gone in WM
Himself and Davy need to fall back into line - they’re hurlings Simon and Garfunkel
More like Laurel and Hardy
Maybe they could get the back together but some conditions
Not too much travelling - midlands
A county who needs a pick up after recent disappointment, maybe lost a final a few days ago
A prominent ex inter county stalwart (could be football) with a huge media presence to interact with Davy on a national basis and get the razzmatazz back into said county
